Manager and Head Wrestling Coach SAVAGE NY

A visionary leader in the wrestling community, Justin Accordino is the manager and head wrestling coach at Savage Wrestling Academy. With a storied career and dedication to the sport, Justin brings a wealth of experience and passion to his coaching role.

High School Career: Justin's wrestling journey began at Coughlin High School, where he achieved remarkable success as a high school national champion with an impressive record of 150-11. He was also a 2x PIAA All-State, 2x NHSCA All-American, and a 6-time Fargo All-American.

College Career: Continuing his wrestling career at Hofstra University, Justin was a 4x Team Captain, 2x All-Conference, and 2x NCAA Qualifier, ultimately earning NCAA All-American honors (6th place).

Coaching Achievements: Since transitioning to coaching, Justin has made significant contributions to the sport. He has been a vital part of the New York National Team since 2021 and previously led the Junior and U16 Pennsylvania National Team in 2017. At Ascend Wrestling Club and Chaminade High School, Justin played a key role as Assistant Coach, helping the team secure League and State Championships.

Certifications and Personal Life: Justin holds a USA Wrestling Bronze Certification, demonstrating his commitment to professional development and coaching excellence. Outside of wrestling, Justin is an art teacher at Chaminade High School, where he fosters creativity and artistic expression. His multifaceted expertise and commitment to mentorship make him a guiding force at Savage Wrestling Academy, shaping the future of wrestling both on and off the mat.

About Coach Carlo:

 Carlo is a lifelong wrestler, coach, and certified athletic trainer who brings unmatched passion and dedication to the sport and every athlete he mentors.

A standout at Elmer L. Meyers High School, Carlo was a 3-time District 2 Champion, Northeast Regional Champion, and 2003 PIAA AA State Runner-Up. He continued his wrestling career at the University of Maryland on a scholarship, where his commitment to the sport evolved into a mission to develop young athletes.

Since 2007, Carlo has coached at multiple levels, beginning as an assistant at Meyers Junior High under his brother Anthony, then serving as Head Junior High Coach at Hanover Area. While building his career as a Certified Athletic Trainer, he continued to volunteer his time training wrestlers from Wilkes-Barre and Hanover Area, helping many become PIAA State Qualifiers and Place Winners.

In 2019, Carlo founded Stingers Wrestling Club, growing it from a grassroots program with just 10 athletes into a respected organization with over 100 members. In 2025, the club partnered with Savage Wrestling Academy of Long Island, NY, forming Savage Wrestling Academy PA, a premier training program focused on elite development and competition.

Beyond wrestling, Carlo is also the founder of the Helen Mercadante Foundation, established in 2021 to support local organizations and individuals facing financial hardship.

Carlo resides in Dallas, PA with his wife Brittany, their three children—Maxton, Rocco, and Madelyn—and their two dogs, Bella and Skye

Assistant Head Coach

Coach Jerry brings a wealth of knowledge and enters his 38th year coaching. He was a 1982 graduate of Daniel Boone High School and wrestled at Lock Haven University. After his wrestling Career, Jerry began his coaching career. He spent 10 years with Road Warriors Wrestling Club in Reading, PA. He also coached at Central Catholic, Exeter, Crestwood, and Coughlin High School. He was PA Greco Team Coach for 2 years. He has coached 6 PIAA State Champions, 22 PIAA State Place-winners, and countless District Champions between District 2 and District3. Jerry spent the last 3 years helping build Stingers Wrestling Club before merging the club with his Son Justin Accordino's Club; Savage Wrestling Academy.

Girls Developmental Coach/High SChool/Junior High Coach

John was a 2005 Graduate of Dallas High School where he had 117 Career wins, was a PIAA D2 Champion and Freestyle State Champion.  John has been coaching for 5 years and has helped build Stingers wrestling club especially girls wrestling.

Little Stingers Developmental Coach

Anthony is former 2000 Graduate of Meyers High School where he was a PIAA District Champion and captained Meyers to 2 PIAA D2 Dual Championships. After his wrestling Career, Anthony went on to coach for 20 years at Meyers High School, Hanover Area, and was one of the first Head Coaches at Wilkes-Barre Area. He amassed over 100 Career wins as a Head Coach and coaching 7 District Champions, 2 Regional Champions, and 2 state place winners. He returns to coaching to help out the developmental group ages 4-8.
